Join Murray Local Land Services’ soil sampling and test results program

Are you a landholder eager to improve soil fertility and boost your production goals? Do you want to better understand your soil test results and match soil nutrition inputs to your farming needs?

Murray Local Land Services is excited to offer a unique opportunity to landholders through the Understanding Soil Sampling and Results Program.

Team Leader Agricultural Production, Garry Armstrong said they are seeking expressions of interest from local landholders who want to enhance their knowledge of soil fertility, learn proper soil sampling techniques, and interpret their soil test results for better farm management.

“This free program offers landholders up to two soil tests (0-10cm) per property, expert guidance on correct soil sampling techniques and locations, and a number of workshops to help you understand your soil test results and develop a tailored fertility management plan,” he said.

“The program will ensure you get tailored, practical and hands-on advice specific to your property needs, will help you understand how to manage soil nutrients for optimal production, and align soil management strategies with your production targets.”

The program will consist of a phone discussion and sampling information, followed by soil sampling and testing, and a series of workshops designed to help you interpret the results and develop a soil fertility management plan.

“Already have soil sample results? No problem! If you’ve previously tested your soil but would still like to attend the workshops, you can register for the program as well,” added Mr Armstrong.
