Join experienced grafter and orchardist John Galbraith on his orchard for a hands-on workshop focused on grafting apple and plum trees. This workshop is ideal for beginner and intermediate growers, hobbyists, or anyone keen to learn the age-old art of grafting fruit trees. You’ll also get to take home your own apple tree that you have grafted!
You’ll learn:
- why we graft apple and prune fruit trees
- what rootstocks to use
- how to perform a successful graft
- aftercare and long-term plant health.
This is a practical workshop, with all tools and materials provided. No prior experience needed. This workshop is limited to 30 participants, so registration is essential. This workshop is only for participants 16+ due to the use of sharp tools.
