2022 LLS rates due in February

PRODUCTION ADVICE / NRM NEWS -  FEBRUARY 2022 - NEWS

Your 2022 Local Land Services rates are due in February

Local Land Services Rates are returning in 2022 and your rates notice will arrive in the next few weeks.

Over the past three years, the NSW Government waived LLS rates to help farmers through the worst drought on record. However, with widespread improvements in seasonal conditions across the state, rates have been reintroduced in 2022.

The Local Land Services Board sets rates every year based on the cost of doing business and the need for services. Over the last few years, there has been more demand for our services along with a greater need for biosecurity support. As such, rates have marginally increased in 2022, and this increase will all be spent on regional on-ground works. Rates are due for payment by 24 February 2022.

It’s easy to pay your rates. Instructions are on your rates notice, and payment methods include:

  • Online through our website
  • Over the phone at 1300 738 070
  • Bpay through your financial institution
  • Cheque in the mail

To keep our community safe, and do our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19, all Local Land Services offices are currently open by appointment only. Phone 1300 795 299 to make an appointment.
