New Version of the National Vendor Declaration

This year will see some changes to the National Vendor Declaration (NVD). These changes include updated NVD versions, the release of a new electronic National Vendor Declaration (eNVD) system and the decommissioning of the eDEC system.

Updated versions of the NVD will be available from 1 July 2020. Current versions for all livestock species will still be accepted until 31 December but as of 1 January, 2021 only updated versions will be accepted. The good news is that as a part of the MLA Accelerated Adoption Initiative, there will be no cost for the new NVD books ordered until 30 June 2021.

The new LPA eNVD is mobile-friendly, reducing time and double-ups as well as ensuring the latest versions of the NVD are being used. Stakeholders in the supply chain are able to log in and view consignments.

With the introduction of the new eNVD, the eDEC is being decommissioned. The new eNVD does everything that the eDECs do but in a more user-friendly way. After 31 December 2020, users who access the eDEC will need to transition to the eNVD. For more information visit the Integrity Systems website.
