Do you want to become a Feral Fighter?

The Feral Fighters program has been running across the South East for seven years and we are always on the lookout for new members.

As part of the program, we help neighbouring landholders join or set up baiting groups in their local communities.

These groups then simultaneously bait across their properties, creating a much larger control area, which increases the likelihood of removing pests like wild dogs, foxes and feral pigs from the area.

We currently have about 100 groups across the region targeting foxes and wild dogs, but as we approach the crucial autumn baiting period, we want to see as many landholders as possible sign up to become Feral Fighters.

By joining the program, you will become a local champion for effective invasive species management, helping protect agricultural production and our native biodiversity.

You will also receive free training in the use of pesticides, free baits and have access to the latest information, advice and support from our local staff.

If you are interested in finding out more about the program, visit our Feral Fighters page.

If you’d like to get involved with our local groups, or start your own, please contact your local biosecurity officer, who will be happy to help you get started.
