Feral pig workshop series

Landholders wanting to learn more about feral pig management are encouraged to attend an upcoming workshop. The workshops will cover:

  • feral pig control tools
  • baiting techniques
  • seasonal conditions and what that means for feral pig management
  • monitoring
  • current incentives for landholders through Local Land Services.

The workshops will be held in the below locations on the dates listed, with details such as venues in the process of being finalised.

  • Packsaddle Roadhouse — Thursday 13 June
  • Topar Gymkana and rodeo grounds — Friday 14 June
  • White Cliffs Sporting Club — Saturday 15 June
  • Brewarrina, venue TBC — Tuesday 18 June
  • Bourke, venue TBC — Wednesday 19 June
  • Shindy's Inn, Louth — Wednesday 19 June
  • Wanaaring Hall — Thursday 20 June

Workshops will commence at 10 am and finish by 3 pm. Morning tea will be available from 9:30 am with lunch also included.

Presenters
  • Troy Crittle from the NSW Department of Primary Industries will present at the Brewarrina, Bourke and Wanaaring workshops.
  • Mark Lamb from Pest Lures will present at the Packsaddle, Topar, White Cliffs and Louth workshops.
  • Local biosecurity officers will also be present at each workshops.
