Practical Stockmanship Workshop - Grafton

Calling all landholders interested in improving their stock handling skills.

Courses will be presented by Stephen Skewes, who has a lifetime of experience with a variety of livestock.  He has successfully run a family farming/grazing business and spent 15 years with QLD DAF which included setting up and managing the breeding herd at the Tick Fever Centre.  He is a highly successful dog trainer throughout QLD and NSW.

Topics will include:

1. The benefits of good stockmanship
2. Livestock behaviour
3. Yard design considerations
4. Moving livestock in an emergency
5. Tools and how to use them effectively.

Morning tea, lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
