Box Gum Grassy Woodland Workshop

Join us for an exciting workshop about Box Gum Grassy Woodland (BGGW).

You will learn about:

  • BGGW plant and community identification
  • Grazing and weed management
  • Landholder experience on managing woodlands
  • Future LLS funding and training.

Riverina Local Land Services has partnered with Griffith University who want to hear about your experiences with Box Gum Grassy Woodlands and to identify solutions that work for you and your land.

This is a free event. Lunch will be provided. Please wear enclosed shoes and a hat.

Speaker of the day: Ecologist Dr Mason Crane

A Gundagai local and senior ecologist for the Biodiversity Conservation Trust. Mason is involved in restoration of BGGW in the Western Slopes area. He has 20 years of experience working with the Australian National University researching the conservation of Box Gum Woodland and their associated wildlife. In particular, he focuses on how it can be incorporated into agriculture landscapes. Mason also assists Gundagai Bushcare Group and Riverina Highlands Landcare network and manages a small farm.
