Woodland Ecological Communities Plant Identification Workshop | Peak Hill
The Central West region contains several threatened ecological communities (TECs) as woodlands. These communities provide significant benefits for both farm productivity and to the broader landscape by providing essential foraging habitat, breeding sites and corridors for many threatened and non-threatened species.
Join us for a practical workshop facilitated by David Carr (ecologist and botanist) from Stringybark Ecological.
Topics covered:
- What are woodland communities, why are they important and what lives in them?
- Native plant identification
- What you can do to enhance and protect woodland communities
Presentation by David Carr, with morning tea and lunch and a woodland walk and talk. Wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring your own chair.
If you would like to bring plants to be identified on the day, please bag these to prevent seed spread.
