Weeds and wings workshop
Control of invasive weeds and understanding your weed biosecurity responsibilities and how you can support the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater and other woodland birds.
Join us for presentations covering:
- The control of invasive weeds e.g. St John’s Wort & Blue Heliotrope in the Coonabarabran region. Recognise biological weed control agents
- Impacts of weeds and weed toxins on livestock production & stock health
- Identify and understand the plight of the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater and how to help with its recovery
Guest speakers include:
- Andy Fletcher, Senior Biosecurity Weeds Officer, Castlereagh Macquarie County Council
- Mick Roderick, BirdLife Australia Woodland Bird Program Manager
- District Vet – Central West Local Land Services
