Sheep genetics workshop - Postponed
Update (Tues 13 June) - Due to unforeseen circumstances the Sheep Genetics Workshop scheduled for 15 June & the Beef Genetics Workshop scheduled for 20 June has been postponed. A new date will be provided as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Join Central West LLS along with Sue Hatcher of Makin’ Outcomes at Trangie Research Station to learn about your sheep genetic needs.
Topics covered include:
- Value of Genetics within a breeding flock
- Setting Breeding Objectives (traits of importance and selection methods)
- Introduction to ASBVs (Australian Sheep Breeding Values) and Selection Indexes
- Ram selection ASBV activity.
This is a free event, with morning tea & lunch provided.
