Rabbit control – Getting it right for your farm and the environment!
We are holding a series of workshops to assist land managers to Grow, Protect and Connect their natural assets.
Control of feral pests such as rabbits is key to good land management – and to improving farm productivity and biodiversity.
Join Senior Biosecurity Officer Nicky Webb and Land Services Officer Simone Horn to discuss:
- Production and biodiversity risks posed by rabbits
- Planning a successful rabbit control program
- Chemical and biological control options
- Improved outcomes via coordinated and integrated group control programs
- Training and other legislative requirements for landholders who wish to carry out baiting
- Harbour management – the do’s and dont’s
- Managing for biodiversity and farm health.
This is an opportunity for property managers in the Lake George and surrounding districts to learn more about, or refine your skills in, rabbit control and management.
Baits can be ordered at the workshop and you can sign up for biological control releases in your area.
RSVP is essential and can be registered here.
