EOI for Landholder Grazing Groups
Are you a farmer in Greater Sydney region and want to increase your knowledge in grazing management and building farm resilience? Local Land Services is currently taking Expression of Interest from landholders to form Grazing Management Groups in the Hawkesbury, Camden and Central Coast areas.
Meeting bi-monthly from February, the Grazing Management Groups will provide an opportunity for farmers to discuss topics such as:
- post-flooding pasture regeneration
- farm planning and budgeting
- pasture selection and grazing management
- grazing animal production and health
- farm biosecurity
- future flood and natural disaster preparedness.
The group will also provide a great opportunity to network, share ideas and problem solve with other farmers from your area.
The meetings will consist of a series of farm walks and workshops facilitated by Local Land Services with keynote speakers.
The Grazing Management Groups are funded by the Early Needs Recovery Program which is part of the $150 million Primary Industry Support Package which is co-funded by the Australian and NSW Governments. For more information about the program, please visit Early Needs Recovery Program.
To register your interest in joining a group, please complete an Expression of Interest Form. The expressions of interest collected will be used to gather information about preferences of location and time. Exact dates, times and locations TBC.
For more information regarding the groups, please contact Ben Azzopardi - Senior Land Services Officer on 0473 950 997 or ben.azzopardi@lls.nsw.gov.au.
