Changing of the guard: on the hunt for Local Land Services board members
17 May 2016
Minister for Primary Industries Niall Blair has begun the recruiting process for local board members to lead Local Land Services for the next three years.
Mr Blair said the recruitment for Ministerially-appointed board members is an opportunity to bring some fresh membership to local boards who provide strategic direction for the organisation.
“The current board members have made an excellent contribution to Local Land Services over the last three years and I thank them for their dedication and leadership during their term. For those who are interested, I encourage applying again,” Mr Blair said.
“We want to ensure Local Land Services is equipped with the right mix of people to provide strategic direction, improve service delivery and work closely with our regional communities.
“We are determined to recruit the best people for roles by retaining the knowledge and experience of existing board members and attracting new members – particularly women.”
The Local Land Services Act 2013 sets a three-year limit on the terms of Ministerially-appointed local board members, which will end in September 2016.
Watermark Search International Pty Ltd will assist in the recruitment process to appoint 45 local board members across 11 Local Land Services regions.
