Introducing Zi Yi Lim, the new Western Local Land Services district veterinarian

Western Local Land Services has rolled out the red carpet for Zi Yi Lim who has joined the team in the role of district veterinarian, based in Broken Hill.
Zi, who was born in Malaysia and grew up in Auckland, joined the team on 22 February and has been busily acquainting himself with the local community, his new team and work processes, while also undertaking several property visits and animal health consultations.
“It’s fantastic to be in Western NSW and I’m looking forward to meeting more of the landholders and immersing myself in the local community,” Zi said.
“It’s a challenging work environment when you consider the size of properties and distances to travel, however it is one I am embracing. It’s worth reminding landholders that the other vets and I are always able to provide advice over the phone or via email, while Western Local Land Services offer excellent webinars and online services.”
Zi completed his veterinary studies at the University of Sydney in 2014 and has most recently worked at a practice in Sydney’s Inner West.
Zi is the third district veterinarian in the Western Local Land Services region, joining Charlotte Cavanagh, based in Bourke, and Trent McCarthy, based in Buronga.
Together, they cover approximately 40 per cent of the state, and when required, respond to emergency and animal health situations, both in the Western region and other areas of NSW.
