Western Local Land Services opens second round for stock watering place lease tenders

Western Local Land Services is again inviting stakeholders to tender for Stock Watering Place (SWP) leases in the Western region, with a small number of SWPs not leased after going to tender in 2019.

Senior Land Services Officer, Kerryn Hart explained that there are 10 SWPs available in this second round of SWP lease tenders.

“A SWP lease tender was run last year, when most of the 255 SWPs in our region were leased to successful bidders,” Ms Hart said.

“This round is for those SWPs that were not leased in the first round.

“There are only a small number of SWPs still available, and all are open for competitive tender.”

Leases will be for a term of approximately three and a half years, from 20 April 2020 to 30 September 2023.

Tenders will be open for a month, from Monday, 9 March, with submissions closing at 4:30 pm Friday, 3 April 2020. Tenders will only be accepted for the permitted uses of watering and grazing livestock, or conservation.

Tenders must be submitted on the approved tender form, which is included in the SWP lease tender pack, along with a list of available SWPs and more information on lease terms and conditions.

The SWP lease tender pack can be downloaded from the Local Land Services website or picked up from Western Local Land Services offices.

Further information on SWP lease tenders is available on the Local Land Services website or stakeholders can contact Ms Hart on (03) 5021 9401 or email.
