Western NSW Pest Chat Webinar Series

This webinar series is being delivered by Western Local Land Services and will feature episodes on a number of pest animals. 

Recordings will be available as a resource for landholders and stakeholders post event, and attendees are encouraged to share these with their networks. 

The webinar series comes following a successful funding application through the Australian Government's 'Communities Combatting Pest and Weed Impacts During Drought' program. 

Episode 1: Feral Pigs

This webinar will feature presentations from Darren Marshall (Southern Queensland Landscapes) and Barry Kelly (Gotabug) who will cover:

  • how to know if you have feral pigs on your property
  • the importance of monitoring your feral pig populations for successful control
  • cost effective feral pig control.

Episode 2: Wild Rabbits and Feral Cats  

Date: Tuesday 15 December

This webinar will feature presentations from Phil Sansom (Jensan Farm Services) and Amy Edwards (NSW Department of Primary Industries) who will cover:

  • your rabbit control options including baiting, warren destruction, ripping, shooting and habitat removal
  • feral cats in Australia and current state of control
  • a review of a current feral cat project, what it aims to achieve and next steps.
