Australia's Deep Time Heritage: Our Gondwanan Forests

The Dorrigo Plateau and it's ancient forests are an iconic feature of the NSW north coast.

The area is a vestige of a landscape which once extended across the Australian continent, and now gives us an opportunity to be transported back through 'deep time' to glimpse the past.

At this event, you can hear and learn from local experts on a diverse range of topics including:

how Traditional Owners are caring for country on the north coast

the evolution of our forests and the incredible songbirds that have come to embody it's diversity, as well as the interaction of geology and climate which shape our landscapes and vegetation.

We encourage all visitors to the event to stay on and explore the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre and the surrounding National Parks - part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area!

RSVP – free event!
