Understanding Genetics for Bull Selection - Moppy
Thinking of buying a bull this year for your herd?
Producers are invited to join Jason Trompf and the Farm Business Resilience Program for an interactive on-farm session about choosing the right sire for your herd, how to read and interpret estimated breeding values and what to look for at the next bull sale you attend.
Jason will discuss how to:
- Breed better heifers/cows
- Improve heifer/cow nutrition
- Develop a breeding goal
- Use EBV’s in bull selection.
This event is presented by the Farm Business Resilience Program, jointly funded by the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund and the NSW Department of Primary Industries and delivered by the NSW Local Land Services.
