Please join Hunter Local Land Services for an information session on foot and mouth disease (FMD) and lumpy skin disease (LSD).
The sessions will cover:
- Signs to look out for (FMD and LSD)
- How the diseases are transmitted
- Preventative steps to implement on farm
- What happens if a case of FMD or LSD is diagnosed in Australia.
- What is a livestock standstill in response to a case of FMD (or other emergency animal diseases)
- The importance of the national livestock identification system (NLIS) and tracing in an outbreak.
