Congewai and Quorrobolong Catchments Water Quality Survey 2021
For the past five years, Hunter Water and Hunter Local Land Services (LLS) have worked in collaboration with landholders upstream of the Paxton water treatment plant to improve water quality in the catchment by reducing sediment and nutrients entering the waterways.
Working with landholders in this partnership, more than 18 kilometres (43 hectares) of creek banks have been protected through stock fencing, rehabilitation and revegetation, and supported improved grazing practices in 180 hectares of adjoining lands.
Hunter Water and Hunter Local Land Services are inviting those residing or owning property in the catchment or in the nearby urban towns of Paxton, Millfield or Ellalong to understand your views on the water quality and catchment health of Congewai and Quorrobolong Catchments by completing a short 15 minute survey by midnight 18 Oct 2021.
Complete the survey here: http://survey.ebc.net.au/s3/water
Feedback from the survey will be used to understand the benefits of this work in the catchment, and to support future river and catchment programs and landholder support in the area. Results will be published as a community report in 2022.
