Welcome to Greater Sydney Local Land Services newest board member
06 Feb 2023
Local Land Services is this month welcoming a new board member to help shape the strategic direction of the organisation in Greater Sydney.
Linda Bracken has had a varied career within the ABC, from being appointed as manager of triple j to revitalise the brand for young Australians, to being Head of Content and Multiplatform for ABC Radio.
Linda is now a consultant, and is working with Board Matters, a governance and strategy company. Through Board Matters, she works with boards (from national organisations, corporates, charities and government entities) to develop their strategic plans and facilitates board strategic planning workshops.
Linda is currently a board member (and Deputy Chair) of the Australian Horse Industry Council and board member of the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation.
The Greater Sydney Board also welcomes the reappointment of Danica Leys.
Greater Sydney Chair Robert Webster says board succession is an important part of our strategic commitment to growing Local Land Services.
“Local Land Services boards support our on-ground work focused on securing the long-term sustainability of our natural resources and agricultural industries in NSW,” said Robert Webster.
“While we are keen to welcome Linda and her fresh perspective to the board, and Danica’s reappointment, I also want to acknowledge the experience and commitment of our outgoing board member Kay Veitch who will finish up in February.”
“Kay has provided invaluable input to shape our board decisions and strategic support to our frontline staff and customers and we wish her well for the future.”
Local Land Services boards are made up of a mix of ministerially appointed and elected members, with staggered terms to ensure consistent ongoing leadership is provided to the organisation.
