Greater Sydney Regional Landcare and Bushcare Forum 2021
Climate, culture, conservation – learning from the past, adapting for the future
Greater Sydney Local Land Services is again hosting the annual forum for Landcare, Bushcare and other environmental volunteers.
This year’s focus is stories and projects that speak to how conservation efforts across the region are shaped by knowing our history and our ability to adapt and shape our future.
The day includes presentations from researchers, volunteers and volunteer coordinators, a regional awards ceremony and an optional self-guided tour of Cockatoo Island in the afternoon.
- Grace Karskens on environmental and cultural history of the Hawkesbury
- Kellie Leigh on koala rescue and survival post bushfires (Science for Wildlife)
- Belinda Medlyn on native vegetation coping with drought and fire (Western Sydney University)
- Peter Mobbs and Wayne Olling on the Cumberland Land Conservancy
- Landcare and Bushcare volunteer presenters to be announced soon!
This is a free, fully catered event.
All NSW Health COVID-19 guidelines will be followed at the event to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Register here by Friday 23 April. Places are limited!
