Soil Pits and Kits Workshop

Central West Local Land Services are holding two workshops, for landholders interested in learning more about soil health. In particular:

  • soil chemistry - salinity, acidity and nutrients
  • soil physical characteristics - structure, sodicity and erosion
  • soil testing - what do the numbers mean?
  • soil testing methodology.

Led by soil science experts, the soil pits and kits workshops will focus on practical skills that will enable land managers to make more informed decisions about their soil and farm management.

This is a FREE event with morning tea and lunch provided.

Please bring a chair, hat and boots and a soil sample (to be tested on the day).
