Small Purple Pea and other plants of Box Gum Grassy Woodlands

Central West Local Land Services invites you to join them to learn about and identify plants of Box Gum Grassy Woodlands, including the threatened Small Purple-pea.

This practical workshop will include a presentation by David Carr – Stringybark Ecological, a botanist and ecologist with many years experience, an overview of the Local Land Services Small Purple-pea project and woodland walk and talk to identify plants in the nearby Stuart Town Common.

Topics covered,

  • What are woodland communities, why are they important and what lives in them?
  • Native plant identification
  • What you can do to enhance and protect woodland communities
  • Small Purple Pea in the Central West

Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Wear suitable outdoor clothing for the woodland walk and talk

If you would like to bring plants to be identified on the day, please bag these to prevent seed spread.
