Feral pig awareness day

Our feral pig awareness day will feature presentations and demonstrations from leading experts and researchers.

Topics covered include:

  • Darren Marshall - Research findings from a project involving satellite tracking collars on pigs in North West NSW and Queensland
  • Troy Crittle (NSW DPI) - Research into the effectiveness of various control methods
  • Dr Heather Channon (Feral Pig Action Plan) - funding for sustainable pig eradication and key findings.
  • Chris Roach (Animal Control Technologies Australia) - new product for managing pigs (HOGGONE®)
  • Murtech Munitions Coonamble - drones and thermal equipment
  • The JAGER PRO® remotely triggered Feral Pig MINE® trapping system
  • Central West Local Land Services - findings from local area survey on feral pigs and overview of local pig eradication program to commence in February,
