Grants and funding

North West Local Land Services is committed to supporting landholders and the community in the long-term viability of farm businesses, as well as maintaining and improving natural assets across the landscape.

2020-21 North West funding opportunities

North West Local Land Services has funding available for landholders, local council and community groups to implement on ground works and training to improve natural assets and the resilience of farm businesses.

Proposals will be assessed against a set of criteria including funding availability, landholder contribution, NSW and Australian Government priorities and value for money. For more information about our specific projects, click here.

Please take the time to read through the Fact Sheet for more information about eligibility and supported activities.

Round one closes 14 August 2020

During July 2020, landholders will have the opportunity to attend three x one hour Check, Ready, Grow webinars that focus on your business, where it is heading and what opportunities exist to help improve your natural assets. View details for webinar two and three and register your details.

You can view all three webinars here.

Attending these webinars will help you identify clear farm goals linked to improving your natural asset base and will improve the likelihood of success of your project being funded by Local Land Services. See the event flyer here.

Guiding your proposal

Natural asset and business competency scorecards are available to help you identify your strengths, opportunities and guide your project proposal. If your project is successful, the scorecards will be revisited at the end of your project to evaluate change.

Testimonials from 2019 Check, Ready, Grow

"I find for most of us, taking the time to step out of the business for the day and looking into the business is very valuable."

“Check, Ready, Grow was a very informative day covering topics from land management, agricultural benchmarking and financial funding opportunities. We look forward to working with LLS further to build on ideas from the day and to ensure we are utilising our natural assets to develop financial and environmental benefits for both the business and landscape into the future.”
