Our spring fox baiting campaign will kick off in the first week of September. Keep an eye out for our Feral Fighters booklet - in your mailbox soon – which contains information about bait drop off locations across the region.
However, please remember that there are requirements you need to fulfil to enable you to take part in the program.
To obtain and use 1080 or Pindone baits in NSW, you must be accredited with an AQF3 Chemical Accreditation or a Vertebrate Pesticide Induction Training (VPIT) course accreditation. Our free VPIT course can be taken face-to-face (see dates and locations below), or is also offered online. The course takes you through the legal responsibilities, safety requirements and practical considerations for effective use of baits and pesticides. It takes approximately two hours to complete and is valid for five years.

Once you have successfully completed the VPIT course, you can contact your local Biosecurity Officer to discuss your baiting options for foxes, wild dogs, feral pigs and rabbits.
