Western Local Land Services to commence aerial baiting for wild dogs

Western Local Land Services will be undertaking its aerial baiting program for the control of wild dogs, foxes and feral cats. 1080 poison baits will be issued with the rate of application being 10 baits per kilometer.

The program will commence on 30 March and is planned to be completed by 20 April.

The area covered through the program is from Enngonia in the north-east, to Broken Hill in the west, near Pooncarie in the south-west and to Mt Hope in the south-east.

Following aerial baiting, ground baiting will be carried out from mid-April. All baiting activities will be carried out under COVID-19 guidelines.
