Welcome to North West Local Land Services newest board members

Local Land Services is this month welcoming two new board members to help shape the strategic direction of the organisation in the North West.

Stephanie Cameron is passionate about natural resource management, sustainable agriculture and caring for the land.

Stephanie has been involved in partnership projects with Local Land Services via Tamworth Regional Landcare and Landcare NSW for approximately the past 10 years and is the current Chair of Landcare NSW.

Stephanie has over 15 years of senior management experience in the laboratory testing and environmental consulting industry.

Our other new board member, Jacqueline Gidley-Baird, owns and runs a beef cattle and lucerne growing property.

Jacqueline has worked for 13 years in the human pharmaceutical industry, building her business experience. She then moved into large production animals as the regional, and then national manager of sales for Novartis Animal Health.

Jacqueline has also been involved with the North West Local Land Services Community Advisory Group.

Jacqueline currently works part time overseeing the governance, HR, marketing and back office as the Executive Officer of Tamworth Regional Landcare Association.

North West Chair Richard Clark says board succession is an important part of our strategic commitment to growing Local Land Services.

“Local Land Services boards support our on-ground work focused on securing the long-term sustainability of our natural resources and agricultural industries in NSW,” said Richard.

“While we are keen to welcome Stephanie and Jacqueline and their fresh perspectives to the board, I also want to acknowledge the wonderful experience and commitment of our outgoing board members Rebecca Reardon and Russell Webb who will finish up with us this month.”

“They have both provided invaluable input to shape our board decisions and strategic support to our frontline staff and customers and I want to thank them, and wish them well for the future.”

Local Land Services boards are made up of a mix of ministerially appointed and elected members, with staggered terms to ensure consistent ongoing leadership is provided to the organisation.
