North West free webinar Maintaining production in the cattle industry regardless of the season

On the back of widespread and consistent rainfall since February, many local producers are now in a position to rebuild depleted herd numbers. The vastly improved weather conditions, combined with a positive outlook for 2020, have many wanting to enter the competitive cattle market.
Hosted by North West Local Land Services, the July 2 webinar will focus on how producers can make the right decisions to maximise their opportunities within the current season. With cattle industry expert, Jeff House from Jeff House Livestock as the guest speaker, presenting how cattle producers should be maintaining their production.
Jeff House is the director of Jeff House Livestock Pty Ltd, established in 2014, as a private consulting business with the aim of sharing knowledge with beef producers and the beef supply chain across Australia. Jeff works closely with beef producers, lot feeders and processors to improve the performance of their herds and operations.
As the guest speaker, Jeff’s presentation will work through the below key points to ensure, registered participants are provided with effective, profitable production tools for use in their farm business.
Jeff will focus on:
- Lessons people have learnt around confinement feeding and what you can use them for in a good season
- Strategies around weaning
- Opportunities for the coming joining season
- The importance of making good decisions around pregnancy testing.
