Take Action on your farm - our woodland birds need your help!

South East Local Land Services is holding a series of workshops to assist land managers to Grow, Protect and Connect their natural assets.

In this field day we explore our local bird life and the reasons why they are in serious decline. We wander through some high quality woodland and learn about what makes suitable habitat and why protecting what’s left is the best option for saving bird habitat, before starting to plant new vegetation.

Join Andy Taylor from the South East Local Land Services, Damon Oliver of the Queanbeyan Threatened Species team from NSW Department of Planning and Environment and retired Entomologist, Roger Farrow, as we unpack the science and learn what actions will make a difference to the survival of our unique and beautiful bird life.

We’re going to start with a bird walk and talk, so hopefully we can catch a sighting or two of our locally threatened birds like the beautiful scarlet robin.

This event is free. RSVP is essential as there will be morning tea and lunch provided. Please RSVP by 24 May 2023 using our online form.
