POSTPONED Implementing your grazing plan for drought resilience
Greater Sydney livestock owners who took part in our grazing management for drought resilience workshop series are invited to a follow up event designed to put that newfound knowledge into action.
Presented by farmer and educator, Brian Wehlburg, participants will be given an in depth insight into using grazing animals as on-farm tools to increase biodiversity, manage pasture growth and improve long term farm profitability.
You will hear about
- History of Holistic Land Management
- Paradigms for land and grazing management
- Using livestock as a tool to reduce the impact of drought
- Early warning biological monitoring by reading the soil surface
- Setting up monitoring sites
- Implementing your plan.
Participants are asked to bring their paddock grazing notes and plans to work on.
This project is supported by Greater Sydney Local Land Services through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
