To increase productivity, native vegetation and soil health by reducing total grazing pressure, particularly of unmanaged goats.
$2.8 million has been committed to 58 land managers to erect a total of 1,005 km of total grazing pressure fencing, install 42 trap yards and undertake grazing management plans.
Land managers now have the ability to:
- increase productivity and sustainability of 250,000 hectares of rangeland
- reduce unmanaged goats numbers
- respond faster to seasonal or vegetation conditions
- manage vegetation on their property
