Native vegetation management

In NSW there are a range of land management activities you can do as part of the Land Management and Biodiversity Framework.

The Land Management Framework describes those aspects that relate to native vegetation management on rural land.

We have officers that provide specialist land management services under the Land Management Framework including:

approvals and information on native vegetation removal and management
assistance with native vegetation species identification
connection to further advice, networks and funds to restore native vegetation and help protect threatened species

Private native forestry is the sustainable management of native forests on private property for timber production.

We're responsible for advice and approvals on private native forestry.
