Drought video resources

In response to the challenging conditions many producers are experiencing across NSW, we have developed a series of video resources to support your farm management.

In 2023, dry conditions have impacted parts of the state leading to a rapid decline in plant growth and rainfall indicators in the north, north-east, and south-east. Climate forecasts provide a strong indication that rainfall is likely to be below average for all of NSW from June to August, and we encourage producers to plan ahead with a drought strategy to manage their animal health and pasture quality.

Dry times webinar series

Preparing for dry times is essential to maintaining productivity and viability of farming businesses across Australia. As part of the Saving Our Soils During Drought Program Local Land Services has produced a series of webinars for livestock producers across the state to assist landholders in the decision making and management of their livestock through dry times.

You can watch more videos and webinars in our dedicated drought management playlist.
