Ratepayers must enrol before being eligible to vote in the Local Land Services Board elections
In May 2017 enrolled ratepayers will vote to elect three local board members (or four in the Western region) to join 11 regional Local Land Services boards.

Enrol to vote
Enrol online or complete an enrolment form at your nearest Local Land Services office.
You can also visit your regional page to download a pdf enrolment form, print and return:
- Central Tablelands
- Central West
- Greater Sydney
- North Coast
- North West
- Northern Tablelands
- South East
If you have already enrolled to vote in Local Land Services elections, you do not need to enrol again.
Members of the public can inspect their region’s electoral roll by contacting their nearest Local Land Services office.
Ratepayers can enrol to vote until 31 March 2017.
Nominate to become a board member
Ratepayers in any region are eligible to nominate a candidate, including themselves, for election.
Anyone 18 years of age or older can be nominated for elections provided their normal place of residence is within the region.
Nominations for candidates close noon 12 pm 10 April 2017.
Nomination forms and a candidate information package are available to download.
Australian Election Company is the first point of contact for enquiries relating to the election process, including candidate information and can be contacted by phoning 1800 224 420 or visit the Australian Election Company website.
Nominations now close at 12 noon on 10 April, 2017, and that any references in any materials or documentation to the close of Nominations of 27 March 2017, should now be read as 10 April, 2017.
The voting process
There are two methods of voting in the 2017 local board elections.
Enrolled ratepayers can vote online or via postal vote from 8 May 2017.
All enrolled ratepayers who have supplied an email address will be emailed instructions for online voting. However, there will be an option to receive postal ballot papers.
Ballot papers will be posted to all other enrolled voters along with instructions.
Voting closes at 5 pm 31 May 2017.
